LGDs are a product of science and are created in a very controlled environment in a lab.It does not require digging of tonnes of earth or displacing the flora/fauna from their natural habitat.With the right infrastructure one can have a zero carbon footprint lab grown diamond.That is nearly impossible with mined diamonds.It makes very little sense to damage the environment for acquiring diamonds, more so when we have the option of creating the same beautiful diamonds in laboratories.
